From Series: Fool
Proverbs 1:33, “… all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”
2 Timothy 3:16, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”
“With God’s wisdom, we win. Without God’s wisdom, we waver.”
God’s way for life works. Think about it logically for just a moment. If you want to understand how something works, the best place to turn is to the one who created it.
God is the creator of life. Wouldn’t it make sense that he knows the best way to live it?
If we’re going to get the most out of this one and only life (which we all want to do), we must understand God’s way. To understand his way, we must gain his wisdom. To gain his wisdom, we must rely on his word, the Bible.
The book of Proverbs is more than a collection of fortune cookie sayings. It is packed with poems, principles, and pointed questions that reveal God’s wisdom for our lives. It is the key to understanding how life works.
So as you seek to understand God’s plan and purpose for your life, keep focused on the source of his wisdom – the Bible. Rely on his Word daily, seek his wisdom constantly, and experience his kind of win regularly for your life!
God, I know that you are the creator of life. Help me to rely solely on you for direction so that I can make the most of this life you have given to me! Amen.
Throughout this series, “Fool,” we are reading one chapter of Proverbs each day. Continue that commitment today by reading Proverbs 7. (If you haven’t started, that’s okay. Jump in today!) Focus on the first two verses, and remember that to get God’s win, you must gain (and maintain) God’s wisdom in your life!
