The Blessing of the Book

Read

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.” Revelation 1:3

Think

While Revelation is undoubtedly one of the most confusing and confounding books of the Bible, the reality is that for those of us who call ourselves Christians, the book is a book of real comfort. We are given an all-access pass to see the very throne room of God, and even given a glimpse into the future that God has in His hands. While the imagery can seem confusing, the meaning behind it is simply this: God wins! When Christ returns, all death, sickness, and evil will end. And for those of us who have accepted God’s gift of eternal life through Christ, that is simply good news!

As you continue to study Revelation in this current series at Fellowship Church, keep that reality in mind. Focus on the God who holds the future in His hands. Look for ways you can apply the lessons of Revelation. And walk in hope and assurance knowing that, in the end, we win!

Pray

Praise God for His glory and thank Him for holding the future in His hands. Pray for the kind of perspective He wants for you as you continue to dive into His book.

Act

Commit to being part of this continuing series at Fellowship Church called “The Book of Revelation”. Look for someone in your life today that you can invite with you so that they can experience the blessing of studying this amazing book!

Read

“But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”  Matthew 13˸23

Think

Matthew 13 tells the parable Jesus told about a farmer who sowed seed.  After reading this parable, you may ask the same thing the disciples did, “What does this mean?”

As Christians, we are called to sow seed – the Good News of Jesus Christ.  This news may not be heard or accepted by everyone we share it with.  But for those who do hear and accept it, they will experience amazing life change through a relationship with Jesus.

Remember,  sowing seed for God doesn't mean you have to have all the right words and answers or that everyone will listen. Just point them to Jesus and keep sowing.  God takes care of the rest.

Pray

Ask God to give you an opportunity to share His message today.

Act

Tie an InstaChristmas invitation to a bag of cookies and hand them out to your neighbors and co-workers. Take your sowing to another level!

“Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.” – Acts 2˸45

Think

Fellowship Church is continually seeking ways to reach people seeking to know God.  It’s a “leveraging church” that positions itself to accomplish big things for God.  How?  By utilizing – leveraging - the talents, technology and finances it has – God’s gifts to each of us.  The body of believers that form the church have been given, by God, the means for the church to move in powerful ways to reach one life at a time.

It’s great to be part of a place where a person who may have never experienced church will feel comfortable and understand God’s love for them.  And even a mature believer will understand more of God’s character and grow stronger in their faith.  This is the cause behind the Seven Campaign - the cause of Christ.  This is the only cause that can truly change the world.  As a church body we are leveraging what God has given us to move as we have never moved before.  Have you become part of this movement?

Pray

Ask God to show you the gifts He has given you and how He can utilize those gifts during this Seven Campaign.

Act

Commit to being a part of the largest movement in the history of Fellowship Church – Seven!   If you have already committed to Seven, pray for the impact this movement will have on our communities, and ultimately the world, for the cause of Christ.
